78.7 % Of Road Accidents In India Is Due to Drivers' Fault
The tragic death of union rural development minister Gopinath Munde in the early hours of 3rd June
due to a road accident in Delhi only highlights the carelessness of 'drivers'. According to a media report, the 64-year old minister was on his way to the airport when his Maruti Suzuki SX4 car was hit by a Tata Indica car leading to multiple injuries.
IndiaSpend had looked at data earlier, and found that 3-6 pm are the most dangerous time periods and Mumbai, Ahmedabad have India’s safest roads while Ludhiana & Lucknow are most unsafe. Apart from that it was also noted that Delhi has the maximum road fatalities.
