The global wealth has risen to $360 trillion in 2019, according to Global Wealth report by Credit Sussie. India has contributed $625 billion (nearly 7%) to the rise.

The biggest contribution has come from the United States with 45%, followed by China with 21%. In India, a 28% contribution came from the richest such as Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani.

“While wealth has been rising in India, not everyone has shared in this growth. There is still considerable wealth poverty, reflected in the fact that 78% of the adult population has wealth below $10,000,” the CSRI report read.
