Leopards and Birds Are Most Vulnerable To Wildlife Crimes

Out of 388 cases filed under wildlife related crimes in India, 20% involve leopards and 10% tigers. However, 15% crimes involve scheduled birds. Birds are almost as vulnerable as leopards. Hunting for thrill and illegal trade of birds are two important components of poaching of birds in India.
