Mumbai has a daily water shortfall of 655 million litres while at least 20% of the city's water is lost due to leakages and theft.

"Save every drop or drop dead!", says Aabid. He devotes just a few hours each week to fix leaking taps in Mumbai's residential buildings for free.

"For every drop of water dripping every second, 1000 litres flow into the gutter in a month" added Surti, who has fixed 400 leaky taps every year since 2007.So far he claims to have saved 20 million litres of water.
