Central Statistical Office (CSO) has forecast 5% growth for 2012-13 but National Statistics Commission chairman Pronab Sen says he is a contrarian and is betting on higher growth of 6.5%.

"Look around, have you seen any real distress, anyone complaining about jobs, or income drying up? At 5%, you would see that happening.
