Mumbai's BEST operates approximately 2800 buses every day and is expected to add 40 more electric buses to its fleet make the Mumbai public transport system more green.
Its estimated that Mumbai's public bus transport undertaking BEST loses Rs. 2 crore a day. Desperate to regain ridership, BEST's new buses are loaded with features like charging points for phones, CCTV cameras & a public address system.
