Well next up is Next Generation Networks, described, interestingly, as something "as seen by many as a new opportunity for creating jobs and wealth, and enhancing the quality of life for both the rich and the poor."
What it means is one pipe carries all; video, broadband and telecom signals over a single 'protocol' like internet protocol. Here is a definition. Now, there is considerable opportunity in this, equally in the fact that the regulator is getting excited.
