In just 4 months between April - July 2019 Mumbai's civic authority, the BMC received 2661 complaints related to potholes. It claims to have responded to 92% or 2462 of them. But Mumbai's roads continue to be riddled with potholes.
In 2018 Mumbai's Municipal corporation the BMC spent nearly 80 million rupees in fixing 4898 potholes. That comes to a cost of little over Rs, 16,000 to fill one pothole.
